Clay Days
Mission Statement

Clay Days, Inc. provides unique resources and opportunities for neurodivergent children, adolescents, and their families in order to foster personal growth, independence, and positive shared experiences.

Who do we Serve?
Clay Days aims to serve the neurodivergent children, adolescents, and families of Metro Atlanta.
Clay White specialized in creating adaptive group programs and activities that balanced challenge with support for over forty years in Atlanta. Majority of his programs provided services for children with ADHD, “high-functioning autism,” sensory processing disorder, coordination disorders, and various mood/regulation disorders. It is our hope to serve these and similar populations as well.
Formal DSM-5 classifications/diagnoses can often overshadow individuals with those labels, as opposed to respecting and embracing their unique neurodiversity. As such, Clay Days seeks to find those individuals and treat them and their families as Clay did, as unique individuals in need of unique resources and support.

What is Neurodiversity?

Neurodiversity is an umbrella term which emphasizes the uniqueness of an individual’s neurological make-up.
“Neurodivergent,” a similar term under that umbrella, attempts to reframe challenges associated with neurodiversity in a more positive light which respects individuals as unique, but not as less than “neuro-typical” peers. This term covers diagnoses such as: Autism, learning disabilities, Sensory Processing Disorder, anxiety, and others.
Although we acknowledge the importance of identifying characteristics and diagnoses that people need help managing or treating, Clay Days will always treat those neurodivergent individuals and families with respect and equality first and foremost.
